    Sundog: Fun at the pool

    Saturday, April 30th, 2011

Here’s a short collection of shots showing just how some hot sundogs like to cool off in the tropical heat courtesy of the Mutts N Mittens Pool.

Yellow and Mika just enjoying the water

Leo and Nereus waiting to retrieve their fav toys..

(left) If you don’t throw it soon enough he will make this :| face.. (right)but once you do he really goes for it!

Here are some of the very agile little JRT’s with their jump techniques. First up is Leo

And Russell who manages to get a little bit more hang time :)

Leo does like to take alternative routes at times and will climb out on the side with no steps!

And of course there is the shake-dry…

Hope you enjoyed the pictures and have or are having a great Sundog!

MnM Adoptables: Ribbon, Rachel and Tommy

    Monday, April 25th, 2011

Apologies for the relative inactivity here, its been quite a busy few weeks! Here are some adoptables from Mutts N Mittens looking for homes!

Here we have Rachel (left) and Ribbon, both females have tested negative for FIV and have yet to be fully vaccinated or serlised. Ribbon gets along well with other cats while Rachel’s temperament is not very clear yet.

Next we have Tommy, found as a stray he is a very friendly dog who loves human company. Yet to be sterilized or vaccinated.

    Puppy Portraits: Yeti

    Friday, April 15th, 2011

When I first saw Yeti, I thought she was a small-sized Doberman :D If not for her mom telling me that she was an Australian Kelpie I would not have known.  Being my first encounter with a Kelpie I was certainly very excited.

She was equally excited too and in a true working dog ethic was raring to go! Naturally we decided to get some action shots out of all that boundless energy.

After that it was time to show off some tricks with a little bribe of course..

She had learned to do a high five but I kept missing the shot..

As a working dog, keeping still outside was quite difficult for her but after chasing the ball a few times she did get tired out eventually :D

Her face is very expressive and coupled with those bat-like ears, it just makes it all the more interesting to see her expressions

    Many different expressions indeed

One of my favs from the session, she looks positively stunning in profile :)

After she had her fun, we went on back for the indoor session where she showed me her toys (my what big teeth you have)

    Chillaxing on the bed :D

Being naturally curious about things, she would do this cute little head tilt that i just had to capture :D

We ended off the session in the patio where she obliged me with a nice full body shot. She really will grow up to be a stunner!

Thanks again Rachel, Ben and Ollie for the fun time and the chance to photograph Yeti :)
