    Aries Phoenix and Yogi

    Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

*pant pant pant* … if you guessed that as the sound of the 3 super excited border collie pups you’d be WRONG. That’s me dead tired after the shoot! I had the chance to meet them before when they were much smaller and my have they grown in such a short time. This time though we went out to hort park where there was alot more space for them to stretch thoseĀ  growing legs. Those 3 BC pups don’t ever seem to run out of steam EVER and I had a tough time keeping up with them (as did their moms :D )

I’d like to give a shoutout to their moms for being good sports as it started to rain half way though the shoot. So 3 dogs and 3 people proceeded to crop into a 5mx5m shelter where I tried to get a few more shots of them while they were waiting the rain out :)

With 3 active dogs you can correctly assume this took quite a few tries and lots of treats. Left to right: Phoenix, Aries and Yogi

Border collies just LOVE to run…

Being siblings they also loved to run with each other!

And of course being siblings they will also irritate the heck out of each other ;) Here we have Aries getting annoyed with Phoenix

And Yogi about to stick her nose in an argument at high speed

Here we can see yogi developing that classic collie stare..

Yogi and Aries having fun with a stuffed squrriel

And to end it a few choice portraits of the three :)

    SKC Dog Show Jan 2010

    Saturday, February 6th, 2010

I was glad to be given the chance to cover the first dog show of the year(180th since it started) organized by the Singapore Kennel Club! Call it a beauty pageant for dogs but its the one place you will get to see all kinds of dog breeds. In between covering the ring action i decided to sneak in a few candids as and when i could :)

Wide angles and labs always go together well.

Pepper the sweet camera loving Schnauzer on the left :D

And of course bull dogs just cry out for some 17mm shots.. thanks to my friend who lent me the 17-40 !

Some of the back-stage shots of dogs chilling before thier turn in the ring..

    Hottttt…

Jazz’s babies :D Tried to sneak a few candids.. they all happened to look at her as she as walking back. Open shade even in the full afternoon light still works well :D

And of course there will be puppies!

    Ending off with two headshots..a super-model saluki…

And a “awww” faced beagle.. hard to resist that look…

Needless to say at the end of it all I was feeling like the following..

Hope you’ve enjoyed the pictures! If you recognize your dog here or remember that I might have taken your’s drop me a comment or email!

    Pups @ the Party

    Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

I was invited along to a small pre-xmas dinner gathering with some Noah’s Ark Volunteers. Needless to say when there is a gathering of people like that there are bound to be dogs as well. It so happened that the host was fostering 5 mongrel puppies which I spent way too much time trying to photograph instead of enjoying the food :D

Well puppies being puppies they play alot..

Once they settled down I managed to get a few snaps at last! Here we have September.

Hubert not very happy about having to pose..

Bue he obliged in the end

Spring already has a home waiting for her!

Piccolo was kinda shy but still likes to lie next to people when given the chance.

Best for last? You decide! Here’s Latte in all his puppyness

This ones a little blurry. Apprently 1/350 sec is just not fast enough

All pooped out after that romp in the yard

Its been a crazy weekend for me and I’m looking forward to the upcoming holidays! I’ll be making one more post before the break so stay tuned :) Hope this post helped satisfy your puppy cravings.
