MnM: Hansel and Gretel

These two siblings were found under the bushes in Yishun Park and was brought in by a kind rescuer Joyce. They are currently in quarantine but if you can do stop by and visit them over at Mutts N Mittens (do call for an appointment) !

Being puppies all they want to do is get to know you and play!

Gretel (the poofier one) seems to be more outgoing but frequently gets bullied by her brother..

Sometimes she does get the upper hand!

Despite the rough and tumbles, they still stay bonded as siblings.

Gretel already knows how to pose for the camera even at this young age

Hansel is the cheeky boy who needed a little coercing to keep still. Still he has his own brand of cute!

You can just see the twinkle of mischief in his eyes.

I have been invited to give a short talk at the book launch and decided it would be a good challenge if I could squeeze enough information about shooting cats into a 20 minute talk. Strays: Shogi and Ah Lian

Thanks to a fellow twitter user Scookys, i had a chance to meet a pair of lovely strays!

First up is a bi-coloured girl called Shogi

While she was friendly, she still preferred to keep her distance from me as I was a stranger. Still she was obliging with the poses though.

Then there was Ah Lian, called as such due to her very gangster like character.

She does have a very interesting tri-colour mix of white-tabby-ginger though You can tell she is questioning why I’m taking her picture =p

Meditations

She is a cat through and through with a swagger as she walks through her territory and confidently looks out across her domain

Its always interesting to meet street cats, you will never be short of surprises

Blackie and Mimosa at TGS

While dining at the garden slug I notices this new ‘basement cat’ eating out of Cowboy’s dish. Apparently his name is Blackie and he does this ALOT. You can also tell from his face that he knows he is stealing the free food..yummeh!

Stray Snaps: Saturday walkabout

I spent last Saturday doing a walkabout with some twitter peeps. These ShootUrTweeple outings are an informal walkabout where participants just have loads of fun taking pictures of the surroundings and anything/one I certainly had fun and met some feline models along the way as well.

I kinda iterrupted this guy’s dinner…

Then along came these 2 other cats..

One was quite intent of avoiding eye contact..

And the other was quite manja making it hard to get a shot as she kept wanting to get closer

Thanks to the distraction of a fellow photog I did manage to get this one of her meowing for attention..

This friendly fella loves to hang around the car park. Kinda dangerous for a cat, but he seems to handle himself well

Managed to catch him in the midst of a nap. He was none too pleased about being woken up I guess..

How can you resist not going over to pet that?

Grey the parrot who once fooled the gf into thinking that there was someone calling her.

Bobo the parrot with many tricks up his sleeve. He knows how to sing, shake, dance and does some ‘dog’ commands too!
