I had the opportunity to test out the new 50D for a weekend and what better way to do so than with a visit to Noah’s Ark! I was tagging along with a trip to deliver some supplies and of course some visitors who were very excited about going. The day started out well with a great lunch at Tian Lai at Gelang Patah, JB

Not long after we arrived at the entrance to the place and we began to unload the stuff. Mainly newspapers and food for the many animals that call the place their home.

For first time visitors it can be overwhelming but it certainly is quite an experience. Especially for kids.

Here we have jake with his ‘parents’ who are sponsoring him. The one beow was taken at ISO6400!. The one with his dad is OOF but i kept it anyway as the expression was too good to trash 🙂

Here we have Lynda who runs most of the education/events here in SG

And Raymund who started it all

And now for some portraits!

ISO 1600 on the 50D

And my favorite form the entire day. I just love how it the reflection works in this 🙂

Full set on flickr!

Congrats on the new camera. The photos look great. That one of the children standing in the sea of dogs is AMAZING. So unreal. PS: Love the reflection shot too!

Sadly its only a rental for me to try-before-I-buy I’m still absolutely torn between the 50D and 5D now :\

Its was extra crowded at the reception area as it was raining and alot of dogs ran in for shelter hehe 😀

I am serously considering getting that reflection shot enlarged though.

Wow! That sea of dogs! I would be in heaven. I agree that reflection shot is amazing. It would look even better enlarged. 🙂
