In one of my previous posts I highlighted some photos from my trip up to Noah’s Ark Shelter in JB. For this post I shall be showing some of the images that did not make it into the calendars as well as some side stories of the animals
Also do remember my Calendar giveaway is still going on till next week so do leave a comment there.. and now on to the pictures!!
Benny was found abandoned at a housing estate and was given a home in the form of a factory. He was sent to the sanctuary as he developed the bad habit of chasing motorcycles!
Jolie was the victim of a hit and run. Her leg could not be saved and had to be amputated. Thankfully she now has a loving home to call her own. I am especially proud of this image as the vet that operated on her, Dr. Heng from Mt Pleasant Sunset Way bought an A3 print at a fund raising dinner to hang in her office!
Cleo is one of the many cats residing over at Noah’s Ark…
..along with Ana who was found in side an abandoned hotel due to be demolished! Lucky for her a kind lady found her and sponsored her stay over at the sanctuary.
Rusty is one of the many dog that live in the industrial estates in Singapore. Though the kindness of the employees at one of the factories he is sponsored for a lifetime stay at the sanctuary where he can run and be free.
Diesel has one of the most heart wrenching stories. He was found with a huge wound on the back of his neck and smelled of kerosense when found. He has since made a miraculous recovery and is now in a forever home
Sanuk and her family was found living in a storm drain. She was 2 months old when her mom was killed in an accident and was since rescued and given a forever home.
Chester was another storm drain dog. He was also rehomed to a loving family where he has become his dad’s shadow!
Head of facepalm? Heres facetongue
Brownie (and sibling brownie who wa adopted by another home but given the same name) were from a pack of 6. All 6 were given medical treatment and sterilized. These 2 were extra lucky as they have home to call thier own.
The other brownie
Koffee was found with both her eyes looking cloudy. Concerned with her safety among the heavy vehicles in the industrial area they managed to catch her and bring her to a vet. Sadly one of her eyes became too badly infected and had to be removed. She is now part of a family of 3 dogs and 2 humans
Reckitt spent her life on the streets abused, hungry and cold. That was until she was found and rescued to live the good life which she deserves
Sparky (formerly benji) was found abandoned and tied to a pole in the middle of nowhere. As you can see some loving care and really transform a dog!
This last fella is Jester. Another one of the many strays now living out the good life in the sanctuary.
I hope you enjoyed this long post! Remember you can order your calendars or even win one!
